Lowe Opta - 1

Lowe Opta - 1, a new disc from myself (Ian Watson) and Mark Jolliffe will be released May 1st on Dielectric Records. It will be available as a download from their site and I think that for those who wish to own a hard copy, there is the option to put in a request for a CDR.
Thanks to Drew at Dielectric. If anyone hasn't already I would recommend checking out their releases, a favourite of mine at the moment is Re: Record by the Dielectric Field Recording Allstars also check out the excellent Karen Stackpole tracks they have released.

Lowe Opta

It's my first post of the-oh-nine which makes me realize I've been pretty busy.
That is one of the reasons that Phantomhead Recordings have slowed down to a standstill, Sadly there will be no more orders or new pressings for the foreseeable future.

Most recently I've been recording elements for the Second Lowe Opta EP with Mark Jolliffe, a project which has been brewing since the "Leaf Skeleton" EP which we recorded some years back.
Both the first and the second discs we have recorded so far are due for release some point a little later in the year, on Dielectric Records - more on that soon.
Right now, tracks from the first EP can be heard here

I've also crammed a session with Matthew Lovett playing percussion, battling my homemade electronics set-up and will be playing ROVE this Wednesday (18th March).
